LIVE MUSIC – Farah Elle with Brona Keogh

On Saturday night at SinÉ, don’t miss an exciting lineup with two female singer-songwriters Farah Elle and Brona Keogh.

Farah Elle is a songwriter with an alternative pop sound influenced by an eclectic taste of genres; from hiphop to R&B and ska, while featuring Arabian echoes from her Libyan background. She is currently based in Dublin, having moved to Ireland with her family when she was 2. Her rhythmic lyrics, piano driven songs and distinctive voice aim to reveal something of the beauty in the ephemeral everyday.

Bróna Keogh writes songs about personal experience and observation, the songs are steeped in a folk infused sound bath that is reminiscent of the songsters of the troubador 60’s era such as Joni Mitchell. She expresses her music with a subdued tone that may seem as if detached from the song itself, don’t let it fool you however Bróna is very much a cog in the heart of every song offered to her audience. Revealing a laid bare approach to music, that leaves the listener immersed in the elation of happiness, or misery of sorrow of which she sings. Bróna is joined on stage by Andy Keeling (Mandolin), Christina Quill (Banjo / Electric Guitar)
