Public Tour: Yeats & the Irish Cultural Revival

As you already know Ireland has a great, rich culture. Now you have a chance to get to know one of the most famous 20th-century poets – William Butler Yeats. Thanks to him, nowadays we have the  opportunity to enjoy performances and shows at The  Abbey Theatre, well known as the National Theatre of Ireland. Definitely he had a huge impact on modern irish culture.

His art included theatre, occult, folklore, literature and politics.

He was engaged in the promotion of Irish culture, history, art and folk tales. Yeats cooperated with Lady Gregory, additionally  he had an influence on Douglas Hyde.

What is more, he made the literature popular again and you have an opportunity to learn about everything during the public tour Yeats and the Irish Cultural Revival.

First of all you will visit exhibition Yeats exhibition – Yeats: The Life and Works of William Butler, which bring you to Irish folklore and the world of the great artist.

The tour takes place on 21st of February, 21st of March and 11th of April at The National Library of Ireland at 2pm. Booking is not required!
