LA airport failed to spot gun in hand luggage

A police woman flew from LA to Taiwan with a gun in her luggage. The gun was not detected during security screening.

Due to, she was detained from leaving Taiwan with the gun until the case will be resolved.

However, according to US federal officials, the procedure was not properly followed, because actually, police officers let the women pass through the checkpoint with a firearm.

Apparently, she wasn’t aware that she was carrying a gun and only discovered it on international airport in Taipei, where she wanted to take a flight to Thailand to meet with her family. There, she found a gun and six bullets in her hand luggage.

She is not under arrest in Taiwan, but she was told to stay in the country.

It’s unclear if the police women will face disciplinary charges.
