Find yourself at the Irish Museum of Modern Art at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on the 29th for a night of glamour, curiosities and a flashback to the 1920s, all with a gothic undertone. Prohibition: the Beautiful and the Damned is a decadent, dark night for dancing, dating and drinking all in 1920’s style.
Fancy dress is essential, so try something that will integrate with the vintage theme but don’t be afraid to add creepy elements… think glamorous flappers and gangster or Halloween themed like Nosferatu, The Phantom of the Opera and Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde.
There will be speed dating, a chance to dance to ragtime/twenties fusion, electro-swing and vintage tunes and a performance for the Dance Macabre Show.
Then head to The Parlor room, where you’ll experience ghastly tales and gothic performances. That’s all the information for now, just to add more mystery of the evening. Who knows what you’ll see or who you’ll meet! This Film Fatale event is in collaboration with the Bram Stoker Festival, so you can be assured it’ll be a decadent event.
