Woolshed Bar & Grill

Located on Parnell Street in the Dublin City centre, this is one of the city’s most popular sports bars. Typically, the games shown are cricket, English and Irish football, rugby and Gaelic Athletic Association games (Gaelic football and hurling).

The pub also had a wonderful food menu which includes burgers, salads, fries and pizza. You can also order cocktails, spirits, red wine and minerals.

The bar offers Monday night comedy shed, Tuesday night pub quiz, Thursday night karaoke and Friday night Rock star bingo. The bar opens at 12 noon every day and customers can access free-wifi.

The Living Room

Voted Sky Sports bar of the year in 2016, the living room is located just off O’Connell Street and it is a thrill ride for passionate sports fans. The bar is home to lots of Brazilians who yearn to watch the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

The bar serves, nachos, burritos, paninis and various wraps. There is also a smoking area, beer garden and pool section. The bar also arguably has the largest selection of live sports in Ireland.

There is a huge screen on the wall for the main sports event complimented by other 3D screens. No two screens show the same matches. Usually opens at 10.30am and closes around 1 am.

If you are looking to integrate yourself with people from multiple cultural backgrounds, the living room is the place for you. Usually ranked as one of the best sports bars in the country, the Living room is always a major contender for the best sporting pub at the annual National Hospitality Awards.

The 51 Bar

Located just outside the Dublin City centre on Haddington Road in Dublin 4, the 51 bar has a function room which is available for parties.

The bar describes itself as “a great spot to watch both big and small sporting events, with 11 HDTV screens spread across the pub. In 2014 we won Best Sporting Pub in the National Hospitality Awards.”

The bar serves predominantly Irish cuisines and drinks. If you love the GAA game and you want to meet other passionate fans, then you must take a trip to the 51 bar.

Trinity Bar and Venue

Dame Street in Dublin 2 houses the Trinity bar and venue. This bar also acts as a music bar for lovers of Irish sounds. Trinity bar and venue also works in conjunction with the Dublin Citi hotel to find accommodation for tourists.

The bar is located in the heart of Temple bar and you can have tables reserved before arrival.

Games you can hope to watch include football, hurling, Gaelic football, American football, Tennis, Horse racing, golf and boxing.

If you have never tasted Guinness bread or Guinness pie, then you should take a trip to Trinity bar and venue on Dame Street.

Sinnotts

One of the most traditional Irish bars, Sinnots is located on South King Street Dublin 2 and just a short walk from the iconic St Stephen’s Green Park. On its rich history, Sinnotts says: “Dating back to the 18th century, we reopened in 1989 after St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre was built”.

The bar shows GAA games; Gaelic football and Hurling to legions of fans that troop in to watch their favourite teams play.

Sinnotts won the best Sporting Pub from the National Hospitality Awards in 2014 and 2015.

The Goat Grill

According to the Pub’s website, in the past, the Goat Grill was mostly known as Dublin’s Sporting Pub. This is because it was the first major Dublin pub to screen all of the sporting events for customers.

Located away from the Dublin City centre in Goatstown Cross, the Goat Grill has LCD TV screens with surround sound which means you can hear commentaries on games like you are in your living room.

The bar also recently added a beer garden that those who love to drink and eat outside. There is also a sports memorabilia museum across various sports.

The pub also has a special event in March during the Cheltenham Racing Festival for lovers of horse racing. Breakfast here is from 9 am to 12 noon, lunch is from 12 pm to 3 pm and dinner is served until 9.30pm.

The Chawke Pub Group owns the Goat Grill.

Dtwo

Dtwo prides itself on its Backyard barbecue, beer garden and 20 screens for watching live sports events. Did we mention there is a 20-foot monster screen in the beer garden?

The bar is close to and works with the Harcourt hotel, the Iveagh Garden hotel and the 1900 restaurant to bring the best experiences for fans of GAA and rugby. The pub also offers a stadium-style sitting for fans inside.
