Here is everything you need to know about the Bluefire festival

The much anticipated 2019 Bluefire Festival is upon us. The one-day, all-ages festival will take place on Saturday 21st September in Smithfield Square, Dublin.

This is the 7th festival which holds annually in Dublin. BlueFire is the first Irish organisation to launch a Music Declares Emergency stage with live music.

The event which is going to be held on World Peace Day will feature musical performances. Munky, Outsider Yp and Shakalak are just some of the notable acts expected to perform.

The items line up for the ay include Life’s too short for small talk, Artivism, Dublin Youth Dance Company performance, Workshop tent for the creatives,

All events are free – booking is required for some. Most events are suitable for all ages but there are some restrictions. For more details, you can check out the BlueFire website https://www.bluefiredublin.ie/

The festival will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Paul McAuliffe with Naoimh McNamee, CEO of Glencree Peace and Reconciliation Centre and members of the Tibetan Buddhist Centre.

The opener which is at 11 am will include a Peace Ceremony including ‘Midday Global Minute of Silence’.

The festival coincides with International Day of Peace, whose 2019 focus is Climate Action. It also coincides with the 150th Anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi.

Bluefire Street Fest is a non-profit social enterprise with a mission to promote social integration and cohesion amongst young Dubliners across all cultural backgrounds.
