Looking for something to tantalise your taste buds?
The Irish Cocktail Festival will be taking place from the 10th to the 15th of October. Having successfully run in Dublin for the past two years, it is now extending the festival nationwide. It aims to bring cocktails from all over the island to enthusiastic cocktail connoisseurs, or casual cocktail consumers. The cocktails being showcased during the week all have something in common – they are all made with at least one of a range of Irish brands taking part. Old familiars such as Club orange and Cidona will be making an appearance, along with potato vodka and gunpowder gin.
Some of the venues involved in Dublin include Pygmalion, The Chelsea Drugstore, South William and the Porterhouse.
The venues participating in the festival this year are not limited to Dublin, but include locations in Cork (such as Ballymaloe House, Brick Lane and Market Lane) Derry, Waterford, Wexford, Galway and Belfast. For a full list of venues, visit the website www.greatirishbeverages.com.
