Let’s go to the theatre!

From Tuesday the 19th to Saturday the 21st, Cascando by Samuel Beckett will be presented at Samuel Beckett Theatre in Dublin. Can you miss it? I don’t think so!

The Samuel Beckett Theatre, which takes its name from one of the most famous and innovative playwriters of the 20th century, was opened in 1992 to celebrate the quatercentenary of Trinity College.

The theatre usually presents shows signed by the Drama School of Dublin. Otherwise, this week you can watch a performance curated by the Peter Pan company and written by Samuel Beckett!

From Tuesday the 19th to Saturday the 21st, the Samuel Beckett Theatre proposes three differents times (6.00, 7.30 and 9.00) to watch Cascando directed by Davin Quinn: a deathmatch in the void between radio and poetry, words and music, voices and silence.

“Embers goes much further than Quinn’s rightly acclaimed production of All That Fall in taking the text beyond the auditory experience it was intended to be. … The sheer rigorous intensity created by Quinn’s fusion of the wonderfully spoken voices, Aedin Cosgrove’s fluid, streamline lighting and Jimmy Eadie’s remarkable sound design is mesmerising”. Fintan O’Toole – The Irish Times.
