Daily Habits that will change your life

Society today is pressured into a work cycle that is draining on the human mind, body, and soul. Self-care is seen as lighting a candle for yourself, putting on a facemask and having a glass of wine. As great and enjoyable as this is, it’s a short term practice that allows you to feel good only in that moment. Once we recognise that certain daily rituals can benefit us long term, doing them will become second nature.

Drink water as soon as you wake up

Don’t look at your phone or anything. As soon as you open your eyes, have water. It is best to have a bottle beside your bed, ready to go right before you sleep. It’s obvious, and we all know how important it is to drink water regularly. Hydrating ourselves as soon as we wake up is vital for our bodies as it rehydrates us after our fasting sleep. We must remind ourselves water is key and not only necessary for hydration purposes but regular cell division, normalising our blood pressure, and keeping our organs healthy and protected.

A lot of us forget to drink water regularly. However, I find that if it is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning, you’ll be more consistent with it.

Celery Juice

A miracle worker, literally. Celery juice has been proven to be so good for your health that an actual book is written about it. I came across celery juice from one of my favourite Youtubers, Sky Cowans, from whom I learn a lot. I was a bit sceptical at first, but I was blown away by celery juice. Drinking it every morning before breakfast makes you feel like you are glowing. I could not believe how amazing this juice was. As celeries are made up of mostly water, it’s super hydrating and nourishing at the same time, as it is rich in vital vitamins.

It has been proven to help with bloating, pain, mental health, and improving your gut health. It’s rich in antioxidants that cleanse your body of toxins. Celery juice is also known to help with inflammation and reduces cholesterol. It’s a great way to kick start your day, giving your body the care and nourishment it needs and deserves.

Meditation

This is the habit that I personally find most vital. Meditation has been around since the BC era. The two main regions it originates from are India and China. Therefore, meditation is not a new trend: in fact, it’s an ancient practice that’s favoured by many. It’s been around so long that we do not even know who is the founder of meditation or where it started in the very first place.

What’s so fascinating about meditation is how it can transform you from within. In a sense, it’s like a powerful white light that takes over and brings you to a state of peace and solidarity with your body and mind.

meditation

We, as beings, overwork ourselves in this day and age. We never slow down. Without realising it, we are completely disregarding ourselves. Meditation can be as short as five minutes or as long as an hour, if you please. Taking that time out for yourself, allowing yourself to be present in the moment, gives you the freedom to be in your own body with no interruptions or anyone at you. It’s all about you.

Dr Joe Dispenza, a worldwide lecturer of the mind, has helped so many people on their journey with their mind, body, and soul. His meditations are incredible as he allows you to focus your awareness on the space around you and the whole universe. After practising Joe Dispenza’s guided meditations, I always have a peek at the comments section. The feedback I see is phenomenal: he has saved so many people and aided them through meditation. With many different cases, some people talked openly about how it helped their bipolar disorder and other chronic health issues. It has me in awe to see the power of meditation and the positive impact it has on others.

Listening to High-Frequency Music

We are made up of energy, and with that energy, we are constantly vibrating at a certain frequency. Everything in the world vibrates at its own frequency, music being one too, and it is one that affects ours too. This musical frequency is often heard in the background of many guided meditation videos or tapes. It is a type of music that is relaxing and eases the mind, putting it in a comforting state. Higher vibrations in humans are linked to good energy and positive energy that rub off on others. I find that this sort of music and meditation go hand in hand. They allow you to lighten your spirit and find peace. In essence, they bring you into harmony with your authentic self.

Manifestation and Gratitude

Essentially, you can call all of this a morning or night routine. Today, journaling and manifestation have become important to many people and are strongly encouraged. It’s great to record our thoughts. Not only is it a form of therapy, but it allows us to comprehend our thoughts and let them flow. Once you start journaling your gratitude, it will become more natural to you. You will eventually find yourself being grateful for tiny little things, from relationships to sunlight to the air we breathe. Gratitude and manifestation keep us in touch with ourselves and the earth.

Positive thinking and putting what you want out into the universe will allow you and your desire to find union. Of course, it takes work, but it’s a way of believing in yourself and getting yourself to a place you want to be in life. Saying what you want will enable you to open all the doors you have kept shut for all of these years due to fear of failure, rejection, and defeat. The power of manifestation allows you to gain patience and acknowledge the importance of divine timing. It releases all blocks that stop you from achieving your goals.

We sometimes forget to slow down. Because the world is moving so fast, it does not mean we have to. We must realise that taking care of our mind, body, and soul is self-love. And, it allows us to look after ourselves truly and put ourselves at ease with the world around us.
