The Zeminar @ the RDS

The Zenimar is taking place from the 11-13th of October (yes, this week!) in the RDS. The Zeminar is an event for the young people of “Generation Z” (think: between the ages of 15-20), to encourage and feed their development – almost like a networking event to help them find an area of interest. Whether it be talking to people in the industry they want to break into or finding something different to experience during TY, the Zeminar is an event for the youth of today.

Who’s going to be there?

During the three days of the event, there will be influential figures from different areas to talk and engage with the attendees. From Sport and social influencers to mental health experts and musicians, there are different speakers attending different days, so check out the website before you arrive to make the most of it! You’ll see some familiar faces such as Maria Walsh (2014 Rose of Tralee), The Strypes (rock band from Cavan), Bressie (Bressie) and Jim Breen (Cycle against Suicide founder) and many many more, so you’re bound to find someone of interest. There’ll also be plenty of participants in attendance, such as Spin 1038, Federation of Irish Sport, Dublin Zoo, Youth Work Ireland, The National Gallery of Ireland and a host of different universities, colleges and sports clubs.

Maria Walsh, Peter McVerry, David Gillick, Rhona Mahoney, Dermot Whelan and Mark Little will be speaking at the Zeminar.

At the RDS the Zeminar is split in 8 mini zones of different interests. Along with the main stage is the Wellbeing gym, Social space, Clubs corner, Activation zone, Youth Organisations, Careers zone and a Teachers’ lounge.

The Zeminar is more than just an event where you can learn something. It is a chance to find motivation to make them the best, happiest person they can be. The event also welcomes their parents, teachers and coaches to come along.

You can get tickets for the event on the website.
