This Roald Dahl inspired brunch hosted by Platform 61 is the place to be next weekend. Once the Halloween buzz is over and we’re recovered after the bank holiday weekend, you still have something to look forward to. On the 6th of November head to South William St to celebrate the 100th birthday of Roald Dahl! The influence of food can be seen across many of his stories, so it seems perfectly logical to host a brunch on this theme!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the first to spring to mind, with wonderful whipple-scrumptious fudgemallow delight or a tempting three course bubble gum meal. Unfortunately there won’t be liquid chocolate mixed by waterfall, but we can dream. There will however be dishes to reflect these influences – we like the look of Farmer Bean’s Eggs Florentine.

The star of the brunch is that The Cupcake Bloke and Aungier Danger will be making an appearance at the brunch – their delicious and theatrical treats fit right in with the rest of the meal (featuring a human bean donut and peachy cupcake!).
Platform 61 can be found at 27 William Street South. Tickets are on sale here. They cost between 27- 32 euro, which includes your brunch, a donut or cupcake and a cocktail (the tickets for the 5th have sold out already!).
