Celebrating Cultures, Promoting Integration
Christmas hasn’t even arrived and already we are talking about the sales which are just around the corner. Even though we are still a few days out, a lot of retailers have decided to kick things off early, with the St. Stephen’s Day and January sales in Ireland 2019.
Shopping, shopping shopping, that’s what Christmas is all about, right? First, this is definitely not the reason people should come together at Christmas: obviously the reason is the birth of a baby promised to save the world. Second, go to your friend’s house, or stay at your own place celebrating life, friendship and a really good meal. Forget about shopping and the messy, mad stores full of people with desperate faces searching for something to buy. Go, celebrate, have your Christmas Eve and relax. Eat all you can on Christmas Day and save your money, which for the majority of us, is the result of hard work and many hours of struggle. And, if you want to get out an about over the Holidays, we’ve even put together a list of some of the best things to for Christmas in Dublin.
However, let’s say you are that type of person that is super keen to shop: what you can do is wait just a couple more days for the St. Stephen’s Day sales 2019, saving money and buying better? With the traditional January sales beginning earlier each year – many shops will open their doors on St. Stephen’s Day – retailers are getting rid of the last of this year’s stock before the new seasons arrivals, which means incredible savings for you!
The St. Stephen’s Day and following January sales are actually one of the most busy times for retailers. According to Arnold Dillan from Retail Ireland, “Christmas remains crucial for retailers, with many doing over 30% of their annual trade over the six-week period,” starting with Black Friday, through Christmas and ending with the January sales.
And don’t forget that online retailers will also be offering some amazing end of year discounts, with Christmas Day being one of the busiest days of the shopping year, probably because people have vouchers to spend, new gadgets to buy and nothing else is open this day of the year!
So, when you’ve eaten your Christmas meal, and you are relaxed for shopping, get ready for the best bargains in Dublin, where you can find that wonderful pair of jeans or that amazing warm coat from the best brands, all while saving your money. St. Stephens Day sales 2019 start on the 26 December at 9:00 am.
