The first day of May is also the first day of the PhotoIreland Festival which will take place in the capital city throughout the month. A lot of events are organized, from photo exhibitions to masterclasses.

FESTIVAL – Alliance Française Comic Book Festival
This week, the Alliance Française celebrate the Comic Book with its own Festival. The Comic Book Festival starts today and will last until Saturday 5th May. Follow this link to discover the programme.
And today, you definitely can’t miss the renowned author and illustrator Tomi Ungerer talking about his life’s adventures. The talk will be followed by the screening of a documentary: Far Out Isn’t Far Enough : The Tomi Ungerer Story.
The documentary depicts Ungerer’s wild, lifelong adventure of testing societal boundaries through his use of subversive art. The film combines traditional documentary storytelling with original animation from over 70 years worth of art from the renegade children’s book author and illustrator.
