2. The Pillowman
Decadent Theatre Company, in association with the Arts Council and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, are embarking on a tour of Martin McDonagh’s award winning, The Pillowman, and will grace the Gaiety stage from Tuesday 24th to Sunday 5th February. Following the success in theatres across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, this production marks the second national tour of this brilliant tragicomedy.
The Pillowman awarded with two Tony Awards and Olivier Award for Best New Play , engages the audience through the police interrogation of a young writer and the fantastical tales he creates. Silliness cuts through the very dark subject matter, as Katurian tells his stories, and the audience starts to weave some sense out of his gruesome tales, inspired by the darkest corners of the dustiest volumes of the Brothers Grimm’s tales.
Be prepared to be kept on the edge of your seat to the very last line!
Where: Gaiety Theatre, South King St, Dublin 2
When: Tuesday 24th January to Sunday 5th February, 2:30 PM / 7:30 PM
