Comic Con – 9th-10th August
Creators, media guests and international artists are meeting up this weekend for the Summer edition of Dublin Comic Con 2019. There will be workshops, talks, panels and options for all fans of pop culture. The 9th edition of the event will be also raising money for charity with several options of games for purchase.

Young Curators Festival – 7th – 10th August
This is the last weekend of the Young Curator Festival, which started last month. Five curators were chosen out of 120 applicants. As part of this weekend programme, the performance “Where are you from?” takes place on Friday 9th. Through movements and confessions, Choy-Ping Clarke-Ng explores this common question with so many different answers. The closing party of the festival happens on Saturday 10th.

Saturday 10th August
Solidarity Sessions – 10th August
The Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI) and the Refugee and Migrant Solidarity Ireland (RAMSI) are bringing back to Dublin the Solidarity Sessions this Sunday 10th August. The event includes artists who are currently living under the system of Direct Provision and other musicians. The funds raised during the event will be used to pay the artists and cover costs of transportation from Direct Provision centres.

Playstival – 10th- 11th August
This two-days event will bring music, food and fun for people of all ages. Children and adults are expected to take part in the festival, which will bring dance performances, music and a food market with several culinary options.

Sunday 11th August
Screenyard Rooftop Cinema: FIGHT CLUB – 11th August 7 p.m.
This Sunday cinema session brings one of David Fincher’s most famous movies. The rooftop cinema will take place on the top floor of Jam Park and is fully prepared to give comfort to all participants. Get ready for one of the most famous 90’s movies and the performances of Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. You can also have some food or a drink in the Jam Park’s diner Eatery Park while waiting for the movie.
