The Marcus King Band

Enjoy the richness and depth of authentic prodigy songwriter Marcus King in Dublin at Whelan’s tonight. The 23-year-old guitar player, Marcus King can delight you with some swaggering rock to supersonic soul. All five members of the band—drummer Jack Ryan, bass player Stephen Campbell, trumpeter/trombonist Justin Johnson, sax player Dean Mitchell and the keyboard player —create a blistering, yet soulful unit that has honed their synergy through endless touring. You can hear the change in the wisdom of his lyrics and deeply soulful vocals, bringing sheer musical command to every performance.

Comedians Without Borders – Free Stand Up Comedy Night

What a great way to spend your Sunday if not surrounded by multiculturalism and a genuine laugh? Stand-up comedians all the way from France, Vietnam, India and Portugal are gathering tonight at Sin é tonight at 7 pm, to show off their crafts and laugh your heads off. Guest appearance will be made by Irish comedian Stephen Mullan, Ireland’s most exciting new comedy act, honed his craft in the club circuit in London before moving home and sharing the stage with the likes of David O’Doherty, Colin Murphy and head writer of Saturday Night Live, Michael Che.

Level Four Showcase

Treat yourself with some improvisation night at Bawley Cafè. Two entirely new forms invented by Level 4 class will set your right mood for this Sunday night, These advanced improvisers will delight and surprise you with their great performances and exquisite expertise. Doors open at 7.15, show is at 7.30. Better buy tickets online, just in case!

The Sitting Room Sessions – Live Acoustic Showcase, Sunday 23rd

What a better occasion than The Sitting Room Session with some Acoustic showcase? February 23rd cuddle up on a comfy couch and listen to Dublin’s up and coming music acts performing live. Last but not least, the Dublin Jazz Co-op is happy to present you the Katarina Garcia&Band. Three musicians of diverse nationalities and musical affiliations range from Classical and Jazz (Peter Moc, acoustic guitar) to world music / traditional (Katerina García, lead vocal, Shruti box, and Robert Harvey, flute) to entertain you tonight. They embarked on a musical journey across the European continent, exploring and re-imagining musical traditions as diverse as the Eastern-Mediterranean Sephardic cancionero, the songs of Central Europe, the Iberian Peninsula, and Ireland.
