Events You Don’t Want To Miss

Bloomsday 2017

Date: Fri 16 Jun
Time: 9.00am
Location: Dublin (various locations)
Price: Free

16 June is Bloomsday and it is the biggest imaginable holiday for James Joyce fans. Non-fans, on the other hand, don’t really get the Bloomsday craze at all. The celebration is based on an imaginary account in the James Joyce novel Ulysses of what happened on 16 June. If Star Trek fans (or similar) celebrated a random imaginary day like Joyce fans do, we would declare them as crazy.
