2 dead, 3 injured in Donegal crash
A man was arrested in connection with a road crash in Co Donegal this morning who left two people dead and three seriously injured has been released without charge.
A man and a woman in their twenties were killed. According to media reports, they have been named locally as Shiva Devine and Conall McAleer.
A woman who are injured has been transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, while the other two men are being treated at Sligo University Hospital.
A man was suspected as murderer arrested by Gardai investigating the crash. However, after the investigation, he was released without any charges.
The crash happened close to a dangerous bend in a built-up part of the Eastend area of the town. Frankie O’ Gorman, a local witness, said, “There is a history of serious crashes in the area. Driving conditions were difficult at the time of this incident due to heavy rainfall in the morning.”
Post-mortems will be carried out today on the bodies of a man and a woman in their 20s, who dies in a tragic single-car collision in Bundoran early yesterday morning.
