Another Love Story: a cosy Irish Festival

Another Love Story returns this August for an amazing weekend of music, art, food, and fun. Mark your calendars to join a number of artists and DJs in a celebration of music and community this 18 to 20 August.

Another Love Story

Another Love Story is a magical weekend festival unlike any other that has taken place during an August weekend every summer since 2014. Nestled among the eighteenth-century Killyon Manor, Another Love Story was initially organised in such a way to foster a true sense of community, and with the idea that a festival such as this one would be able to show-off the amazing talent that is just waiting to be found right here in Ireland.

The festival, organised by Emmet Condon, Peter O’Brien and Sam Bishop, aims to prove that there is a simpler, more sustainable, and cosier way of organising and hosting festivals. With a capacity of 600 people, Another Love Story is sure to, yet again, deliver on these promises.

“We care about Sustainability”

Another Love Story is passionate about minimising the environmental impact that festivals have on our planet. This is achieved by being mindful of, and managing their waste, transport and energy on the site to help reduce carbon emissions that are caused by the event.

Another Love Story appreciates that the festival organisers, traders, and artists are also mindful of these issues and are asking their festival goers to do the same. By doing this, you are helping to prove that more sustainable and responsible festivals are possible.

Another Love Story and its Stages

Since its first year, Another Love Story has been all about using a number of relatively small stages. This year is no different. Today, the festival has eight different stages for festival goers to enjoy the magic of this intimate event.

Check out what genres of music will be playing on the different stages and locations this August. And don’t forget to check out the full line up here.

Further Afield, Another Love Story’s main stage, is nestled in the back corner of the lawns of The Manor. Celebrating a selection of the best Irish artists, along with some special international guests, this stage is suitable for both a lounge in the evening, or a late night party. Don’t miss out on some amazing Irish acts like Lisa Hannigan, Moondiver, and Sorcha Richardson, along with some International guests such as The Comet is Coming (UK) on this stage.

The Front, which debuted in 2022, can be found in a beautiful tent at the front of The Manor. Here, you can catch a collection of emerging Irish acts like Caoimhin O’Raghallaigh, Las SalAmandas, and The Cope.

Tree Haus, another 2022 debut, is another perfect late night arena. On this stage, festival goers can listen to house music and amazing live acts. Join Bella Festa DJs, Sunday Times, and Sing Along Social on this stage.

Way Out There, the cosy tipi that can be found just outside of the Manor lawn, presents a more nuanced cohort of DJs and selectors. Music genres on this stage will range from world sounds to jazz music, to fusion sounds.  Check out Cabin in the Woods, Footnotes, and Pablo Santos on this stage.

Moon River, a tipi located on the banks of the River Deel, which can be reached by adventuring through the woods, promises a selection of creative tales, amazing music, and ambient interludes to wind down at night.

Walking through the woods, festival goers can find The Island Woods where they can enjoy traditional music. Enjoy acts such as Ellie O’Neill, Perlee, and Seanchoíche, among others, presented by Meath Arts Office and The Baltimore Fiddle Fair.

The Shift Yard, the place where it all began way back in 2014, is a beautiful courtyard hidden against the manor. The now infamous Shift Shack Soundsystem and select DJs, will keep the party going until the early morning here. Don’t miss out on acts such as Jay S, Paddy Dolan, and Ian L on this stage.

Way Out Front, for daytime fun, presents a selection of hand picked DJs to listen to while you sit back, snack on some delicious food and enjoy some easy listening.

The Mellow Meadow, promises a moment of calm away from the commotion of the festival’s main stage. Here, visitors will find the Wellness Area with a Yoga programme, Massage and workshops, the Bosca Sauna, the Another Love Story Swimming Deck, and Moon River.
