“Atlantic” tells the story of the small fishing communities in Ireland, Newfoundland and Norway. Due to ecological and economical changes, they have to struggle with many problems in their life.
The movie is filmed in North Atlantic locations. The view is breathtaking, and in combination with the intimate stories from global resources data, very poignant. The film questions how communities nowadays have to learn from the past in order to have a better future. Political decisions have a huge impact on people’s lives, that’s why the movie does not only depict tragedy of exploiting our environment, but also people’s dramas.
