Most famous Irish singers in Spain
Ireland certainly boasts a wealth of talented and successful musicians. Although not all of them manage to cross the borders of the country, that doesn’t mean that in other European countries they have succeeded as much or more than in their own. So, these are some of the most famous Irish singers in Spain.

Hailing from Ireland, U2 have been playing since 1976 and growing in popularity over the years. It was in the 80s when the Irish band began to become known worldwide, and they gave their first concert in Spain in 1987 in Madrid on the occasion of the tour of their album The Joshua Tree, thus achieving the recognition and admiration of the Spanish public.

Another very famous Irish singer of renown in Spain is the singer of the single Nothing compares to you, Sinead Oconnor. This Irish composer rose to fame in the early 90s and thanks to her peculiar musical style and her voice, she became a world-renowned artist. The winner of a Grammy award came to give a concert for the first time in Spain in 2008 in Barcelona.

Another native Dublin band known in Spain is The Script. This Irish pop-rock band rose to fame in 2008 with the song The Man Who Can’t Be Moved, a song that was playing for years on Spanish radio, to later triumph again with Hall of Fame in 2012. The band had more success among the Spanish public between the years 2008 and 2014 thanks to those songs.

The success of this folk and blues singer is also due to the controversial issues he deals with in his songs, putting him in the spotlight and being heavily analyzed.

The Corrs is a pop rock musical group formed by four brothers who mixed traditional Irish songs with the musical style of the moment and whose fame and popularity dates back to the late 90s and early 2000s. Their best known songs, Breathless and Runaway, were a success in their careers and sounded on all the radio stations in the country.
