GP’s are a fantastic option for when you’re not feeling well, but unfortunately you usually need to book an appointment at least a day in advance. What’s more, GP practices usually function on 9-5 Mon-Fri hours, so they aren’t always an option for those who work during the week. That’s where walk-in clinics come in handy. Dame Street Medical Centre
One of the first walk in clinics in Dublin, Dame Street Medical Centre was established in 1998. It has been serving the public seven days a week throughout lunchtime and including public holidays with no appointment needed. They have both male and female doctors on staff, and offer a wide range of services including family planning, travel vaccinations, dermatology services, and more. The Guide Clinic St. James’s Hospital
The Guide Clinic is the largest free STI, HIV, and infectious disease service in Ireland. These are the only services offered at this clinic so bear that in mind. As well, the only walk in services offered at the Guide Clinic are STI and HIV related services. Infectious disease-related visits are by appointment only and your GP must refer you. That being said, if you are sexually active this clinic is a great for regular testing, and they also offer a Young Persons clinic for those aged 20 and younger. Dublin 1 GP Walk-in Clinic
Dublin 1 GP’s walk in clinic was established to offer affordable healthcare for those without insurance. They are one of the few clinics that offer services for urgent, but not life threatening, care. They treat all sorts of conditions including infections, cold and flu symptoms, fevers, rashes, minor cuts and burns, wound care, and suture removal. Doctors Walk-in Clinic Rathmines
The Doctors Walk-in Clinic in Rathmines has been run by highly qualified Irish doctors who have provided friendly and comprehensive care to both new and current patients for over 20 years. What’s more, the average wait time to be seen is only 20 minutes, making this one of the fastest walk-in clinics in Dublin. There is not much documentation on what services they offer, however it is listed that they offer GP consultations as well as contraceptive pills. For more information, click here.

Clare Street Medical Centre
