One of the coolest spots in Dublin for a late night bevvy  is Yamamori Izakaya (aka Izakaya Basement). Located in the hubbub of South George’s Street, Izakaya offers some delicious sake cocktails, a mix of asian beers and local brews on tap, sick beats and a back alley smoking area painted to look like the back alley behind a bar in Tokyo. Bonus: there’s a beer vending machine in the smoking area so you can grab a drink while you’re outside! (plus it takes card)

This ‘Brooklyn meets Berlin-style dive bar’ is all you could ask for from a late-night boozy haunt. With premium drinks and retro-inspired cocktails, pool tables upstairs, and DJ’s down below, there’s a spot for everybody at r.i.o.t. In addition to pool, patrons can also play some other bar classics like jumbo jenga, beer pong, and an assortment of board games. The Workman’s Club

For all my artsy/indie kids out there, you have to check out The Workman’s Club if you haven’t already. This infamous spot located just by the Liffey in Temple Bar, has played host to a number of world-renowned acts such as Father John Misty, Little Green Cars, Kodaline, and more! As awesome as the tunes are here, the Workman’s Bar isn’t just known for awesome music. It’s also home to one of Dublin’s best clubs, some of the best comedy in the city, as well as new band showcases! Definitely a bar worthy of a late-night visit.

Whelans

One of Ireland’s most famous and well loved venues since 1989, Whelans has established itself as a kingpin of late-night drinking and merriment in Dublin. Located on Wexford Street, Whelans has hosted a number of international acts including Ed Sheeran, Jeff Buckley, and Arctic Monkeys. Additionally, this late night hub offers some of the coolest indie club nights from Thursday to Saturday starting at 10:30 pm. Highly recommend this late-night joint

37 Dawson Street

For a ~classy~ late-night libation, hit up 37 Dawson Street and treat yourself to one of 37 different Irish Whiskeys (served in crystal no less). If you’re not in the mood for a  wee dram, you can always ask for your glass with a light, refreshing mixer or an elegant cocktail to sip on while relaxing in this lush, eclectic bar. This is one of the more romantic spots on our list, so if the dates going well and you’re not quite ready to go home, head to 37 Dawson street to keep the romance flowing. Bonus: Music is either tunes from baby grand piano or some funky background tracks.

4 Dame Lane is a venue spread over two floors, hidden away on Dame Lane just down from the George. Situated at the very top of Hang Dai’s Camden Street location is one of the most luxurious spots in our top 13 late-night bars- seriously, it’s called Gold Bar for a reason. People it here, not only for the unique ambience, but also the cocktails are absolutely class and you have access to the full menu downstairs till the kitchen closes. A night at the Gold Bar is one to remember (depending on how many cocktails you order) especially with the class sound system designed by Cork-based soundsystem maker Toby Hatchett.
