The first hidden gem in Dublin´s cocktail scene is the Dublin Vintage Cocktail Club. Tucked away behind a discreet doorway in Temple Bar, it’s a cocktail bar in a speakeasy, 1920s style. They are remarkable because of their unique cocktail menu which has a historical selection of drinks from the early 1400s to the 1990s. 

They also offer brunch on weekends and small plates as well as sharing boards and sides for when you get peckish. Besides excellent drinks and food, they also offer a masterclass where you can learn about Cocktails. But before visiting, you need to know that the CVV has a strict Over 23 policy. So have your ID ready. 

Chelsea Drug Store

The Chelsea Drug Store is a not-so-hidden bar in Dublin because it’s pretty known and loved by locals. In the 1900s, there was a pharmacy where the Pub is today, hence the name. But there is a hideaway basement, which you should not miss. It is quieter than other spots in Dublin typically are and you can enjoy your drink in this hidden spot. 

Besides an extensive drinks selection, they offer bottomless brunch on the weekends. 

Mary´s Bar & Hardware Shop

This name does not deceive. Mary´s Bar & Hardware Shop is exactly that. A bar and a hardware shop, that’s what makes the atmosphere of this bar so special. Every Monday is a Quiz Night as well as Live Music multiple nights a week. 

Besides great drink and food deals, they offer nostalgic sweets in brown paper bags, just as they did in the 1990s.
